In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until slightly foamy.
Add egg and softened butter, then mix well.
Add flour and salt. Knead until a soft, smooth dough forms (about 8–10 minutes).
Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide into equal portions (8–10 balls).
Shape into smooth buns and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Cover and let them rise again for 30–40 minutes.
Brush with milk or egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake at 190°C for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
Brush with butter while warm for a soft, shiny finish.
