    Melt dark chocolate and butter together until smooth, let it cool slightly.

    Whisk sugar into the chocolate mixture, then add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

    Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt and fold gently until just combined.

    Pour batter into a lined square baking tin and smooth the top.

    Arrange strawberry slices on top, pressing them slightly into the batter.

    Bake at 170°C for 22–25 minutes until set but still fudgy in the centre.

    Cool completely, then drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

    Slice into neat squares.
